Cooper and I were figuring out what we were going to do this week. He was a little grumpy this morning...definitely missing his friends, his dogs, his home, and his scooter! He's been having a great time, but some days he's ready to be home.
He wanted to get a haircut, so we went to the local barber shop. It was a tiny 2 seat shop, and we had to wait outside for our turn.
Then we decided to head to Times Square to go to the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum. I figured it would be kind of touristy, but thought he would love some of the crazy and weird stuff!
Turns out I was right. We had a blast going through the museum. Cooper felt pretty short against the tallest man in the world.
This was an exact mini replica of the World Trade Center (what it will be when finished at least), built entirely out of matchsticks!
The torture chamber exhibit was creepy...
as was this 1/2 human head that has been preserved in formaldehyde...
We had fun playing with some of the optical illusions and doing a laser race...
Before we picked up Zoe, we went in the Strand Book store. This is a well-known book store in New York and is absolutely fantastic. I could've spent hours in here, exploring the millions of books. It's been featured in several movies, and a book-lovers dream.
We picked up Zoe and headed to a leotard shop on the Upper West Side. They have racks and racks of leotards that you can buy as-is, or custom design your own.
Zoe found this neat black and green lace one, and then she decided to design one of her own. We sat over the table of fabric samples for quite a while, but she finally decided. Can't wait to see the finished product next month!
We stopped in at Magnolia Bakery on our way home. I usually get the banana pudding, but they came out with a new Blondie Ice Cream Sandwich. It was fantastic!
