Re-do's

Zoe received her ABT t-shirt yesterday, and the dancers all needed to wear them today. They were doing a warm-up class at the studio, and then traveling as a group on the subway out to Queens for their dress rehearsal.

There were a few things that Joe wanted to see while he was here, so we headed back to a few of our highlights. The most important thing on his list was the 9/11 Memorial, so after we dropped Zoe off we headed to the Financial District. I couldn't believe how cold it was this morning! It was actually in the 60's. It felt fantastic after the heat we went through last week.
On the way, we passed the beautiful Trinity Church...

 and the Trinity Boxing Club...

 Since Joe is a huge boxing fan, he thought this was pretty cool. They had some great memorabilia in the window too.

 We got to the 9/11 memorial and Joe was completely awed by what has been done.

 One of his customer's sons was killed in the South Tower during the attacks, so she gave us his name to look up, and told Joe it would be an honor to have him there. His name was John Patrick Hart.

 Afterwards, Cooper needed a snack, and these two couldn't pass up a piece of pizza!

 When we went back outside, it had started to rain a bit, and was quite windy. Cooper and I got pretty darn cold, so we ran into the Century 21 Department Store and picked up some sweatshirts!

 We moved on the Chelsea Market. We had a great time wandering through this place. Joe loved all of the food shops and markets. We found this oil and vinegar shop and you could taste samples of the many varieties.

 And Joe couldn't pass up Lobster Place. He picked up some lobster bisque and loved it!!

 I ended up with a grilled cheese panini, and Coop got a sandwich. I couldn't pass up this adorable mini doughnut shop. They were fantastic!

 We left the market and headed up the High Line Park.

Joe loved this place!

Cooper found the "penny truck" again, and he took turns with Joe throwing pennies onto the back of it.

We went out to Queens to pick Zoe up from rehearsal and then came back to Manhattan. My friend Erica had sent me a text with these fun macaron jewelry boxes at Urban Outfitters. Luckily, there was one right at our subway stop, so we headed in and picked one up. The perfect souvenir for Zoe's trip!

Zoe wanted to go to Shake Shack one last time before we leave, so we went to the one on the Upper West Side for dinner.

We've only taken a taxi a few times here in the city, but tonight we decided it was worth it instead of walking!
