Near Mother's Day each year, the baseball league does a Sluggers for a Cure weekend to focus on breast cancer awareness. They sell pink bracelets and ribbons to raise money for the cause, and the kids all chose to wear bright pink socks for today's game. We only have 2 regular season games left before playoffs, so time for a few more pictures.
Coop did really well at first base today, making several great outs.

He made a great jump and catch on this one, almost making the out. The runner had a great slide and beat the ball, but he was happy he caught it.
At bat, he hit 2 doubles and a single today.

The A's pulled off a 14-9 victory! Way to go!

Very blessed...
Not that we need a reminder, but Zoe's Baptism anniversary day is always a special day to reflect on how blessed we are to have our little girl. She brings joy to our lives each and every day, and lots of smiles and excitement too. Of course Zoe loves any kind of celebration, and is always up for cake! As soon as she got home from dance, we enjoyed our celebratory dessert.

Zoe also received a beautiful note and her annual gift from Shloe and Roger, a silver charm. This year it was a pair of ballet shoes...perfect!
We love you Zoe!

Easter Day
Kids woke up excited to start their egg hunt! They searched the family room, kitchen, and dining room to find all of the eggs.

Once the inside eggs were found they headed straight for their baskets!

Zoe loved her new dance clothes, new fish house for her tank, a new puzzle, and some candy.
Coop loved his new wallet, video game, pj's, and xploders gun.
The drizzle of the morning had stopped, so the kids headed to the backyard to look for the plastic eggs filled with coins!

We quickly got dressed and headed to Mimi and Gramp's house for a nice day with family and friends. The kids got more Easter gifts to open...new spring clothes, bathing suits, shoes, and games!

Since it was rainy outside, they did another indoor egg hunt. They racked up quite a few jelly beans and coins!

We had a delicious Easter lunch!

The weather finally cleared up a bit so the kids spent the afternoon playing in the fields behind the house. They had a great time!
I spent lots of time playing with Jeff's new bulldog puppy, Bobbie...
Happy Easter!

Egg decorating
I didn't get too many pictures of the kids dying eggs this year. They still love to do it, and I love that they are old enough to mostly do it on their own! Since I had hard boiled the eggs yesterday, they woke up and decorated while I got breakfast going.

Can't wait to see where the Easter Bunny hides them all!

Birthday dinner...
We weren't able to see Sonya last week for her actual birthday, but she came down for a birthday celebration tonight with her friend Dean. It was great to hang out, eat, and laugh a lot!
She wanted burritos for dinner, and of course her traditional birthday "dirt cake" for dessert. Coop and I stayed up late last night after his game to make it. She thought it was delicious and was very thankful!
Presents to open also...some new perfume and good ol' cash!
Happy Birthday Sonya! We love you very much!

superstar...
Cooper is having a great time playing baseball this season. He has really come to love this sport and is playing well. I'm so proud of how hard he tries, pays attention, and plays his heart out. Tonight he was recognized with the game ball for playing like a superstar! He was on fire with his hitting and hit 2 triples and 3 doubles. He was also part of a double play and made several key outs on first base and as short stop. Way to go Coop!

Girls Night Out~
It's been a while since I've had a Girls Night Out, so it was nice to get out on a Friday night with some girlfriends. This is a group of ladies from my Moms Club, when Cooper was a toddler, and we don't get the chance to get together very often. We try to stay in touch, and see each other one on one occasionally, but it has been long time since we've all been together.
Teresa arranged the whole night and surprised us with a limo van for the evening!
(me, Tanya R., Lauren, Teresa, Kat, Tanya M.)It was so nice to be able to relax and have a glass of wine while being driven around!

We enjoyed a great dinner at Sorrel in town and got to catch up with what's been happening in everyone's lives. We reminisced a bit and had lots of laughs too!

We ended the night driving around and then walking through Old Town. We enjoyed some more drinks and desserts at Public House before heading home.
It was so nice to get together and hopefully we can do it again soon!Created by Wendy at 4/15/2011 0 comments

TYB Storm Day
It was Temecula Youth Baseball Day at the Lake Elsinore Storm stadium today. We met up early with Cooper's team for some fun tailgating. The kids wasted no time and jumped right into playing catch and making up some drills. We were all still enjoying the high from winning our game yesterday against the Orioles, the only undefeated team in our division right now. It is also the team with Cooper's coaches from last season, so it was a big one.

After some good food, good drinks, and fun with friends, the kids headed off to line up for their parade and the parents took their seats in the stands.
Yay for the A's!

The kids enjoyed watching the game, even though the Storm lost, and had fun playing in the kids zone, and eating some treats.
After the game the kids were able to run the bases. Zoe even got out their to join in the fun.

That was the end of a long weekend! Now back to school and work tomorrow...but we are counting down the 7 weeks until summer break!! Yahoo!
