Another beach day...

Since I'm already back at work, I don't have much time for beach days. I was happy to spend time with Cooper today, along with Miles and Jared, and head to Carlsbad.

It was a perfect day and the water was warm and wonderful!
I spent time in the water with the kids, and time on the sand watching the sailboats go by...trying to relax a little and enjoy the warm outdoors!

Concert!

Zoe couldn't wait for the Shawn Mendes concert. Morgan ended up joining us, and we had a fun night out.

We went down to San Diego early to do a little shopping and have some dinner.
We had a great dinner at PF Changs, and laughed so much. I love spending time with these girls!!
We decided to continue celebrating Zoe's birthday since the concert was a birthday present. ;)
We made it to the SDSU theatre...

He had a great singer-songwriter from London as his opening act. All he had to do was speak to have all the girls swooning...love that English accent!
Shawn put on a great show and sounded so much better in person than I expected. The venue was filled with teen girls, a few boyfriends, and moms.
On our way home, we stopped for midnight donuts at Petersons. The girls had a fantastic time, and I enjoyed a fun night out with them!

New Cars!

It's been a little crazy with cars around here. We ended up having to get a newer car for Joe about 6 months ago since our old car died. Then, after a long process, we finally ended up getting Ford to buy back my car after having many, many problems with it over the last couple of years. So it was time to shop for a different car for me, as well as find something for Zoe!
After weeks of online shopping, and going around to different dealerships, we settled on this cute little one year old Hyundai for her.  Hopefully it will be safe, reliable, and last her quite a few years!

Now she just needs her license!
I found a small Hyundai suv for me...a year old also, but in great shape. It was an expensive weekend, but hopefully we are set for a while with cars...at least for 2 more years until Cooper is driving!

Home, sun, and fun!

It felt great to be home, and away from the craziness of the city and all that entails. I woke up early Sunday morning to a beautiful sunrise...

and thoroughly enjoyed a long, peaceful walk, without having to look around and be constantly aware of my surroundings!
I spent so many days freezing in San Francisco, I couldn't wait to spend some time laying by the pool and soaking up some sun! It felt so good, and Zippy joined in the fun.
Jax was staying with us for a few days too, so we had a great family BBQ dinner.
I was also anxious for a beach day, so I took Zoe and Hannah for a day. It was a perfect day, and I came home relaxed and sunburned, with sand between my toes. :)

Cooper's fun!

While Zoe and I were in San Francisco, Cooper spent time at Mimi and Gramp's house with Jax. They had lots of free time, and spent most of it fishing and hanging out with friends.

Boating and fishing in the bay...

 skating and eating...
 shopping for more fishing gear...
float tub fishing in the bay...
 a little jacuzzi time...
 early morning trips...

 and even an overnight trip...
 and more pond fishing...
getting Banzai Bowls constantly...running to and from their friend's houses...

and beach time...
all of this leads to some serious exhaustion!
Thanks Mimi and Gramps for taking care of my boy!!

Performance, Photo Shoot and Goodbye!

Tonight was the final showcase for the summer program. These dancers have been working so hard for this, I couldn't wait to see it!

We weren't allowed to take any pictures, but the show was fantastic. It was very different from the past shows she's done...definitely more artistic. Zoe's piece was a beautiful contemporary ballet number which I loved. So proud of this girl!
She's grown so much this summer, and made some great friends along the way!

There were a lot of tears shed when saying goodbye to these dancers and choreographers. Zoe had an incredible experience this past month, and truly loved this program. She loved the teachers, the dancing styles, Alonzo himself, the other dancers, the long days...absolutely all of it!

We had a few hours on Saturday before leaving, and wanted to squeeze in a photo shoot. We took the bus to the Palace of Fine Arts for a few photos.

We had to make one last stop for ice cream...just couldn't leave San Francisco without it!

 Home bound!
We caught a beautiful sunset coming into Orange County...a nice welcome home!
Another summer adventure has come and gone! I will cherish the memories made with my sweet girl. Now back to reality!
