New Beach...

It was time for another beach day this week. We hit Oceanside on Tuesday after Cooper's doctor's appointment, but today we headed to Carlsbad. We found the perfect parking spot right at the sand and thought we had found the "perfect" beach spot. Unfortunately, after we had plopped all our stuff down, gotten settled, and the kids had climbed up the rocks, the lifeguards came around posting "no swimming" signs. Let's just say, we weren't too happy! We gathered up the kids, and ALL of our gear and hiked down the beach. It wasn't a pleasant walk, but once we were settled, we had a great beach day!

The kids were trying to look for creatures in the rocks. They did come across a crab and some fun sea anemone's that they were able to stick their fingers in.

Then they moved on to play in the water and dig holes in the sand...

Teri's baby Denton has gotten to be quite the beach baby this summer. This week he started crawling, so he was all over the sand. He even pulled himself up on my cooler...
We even saw 3 dolphins swimming down the coast. It was fun to see, wish I could've gotten a better picture though!
After leaving the beach we came home to a summer storm in Temecula. We had quite a lightning show to watch! The rain came down, the lightning struck, and the thunder boomed. Nothing like 100 degree weather and a storm...
