American League Champions!

What an exciting day!!! We headed to the Ronald Reagan Sports Park at 7am for our early American vs. National Championship Game. The kids were excited and couldn't wait to get the game started.
The boys got their pep talk from Coach Matt and Coach Jim...
We were the visiting team vs. the Red Sox, so we were up to bat first. We started out with a great lead of 10-1, but started to fall apart in the middle. These kids put so much pressure on themselves and sometimes you can just see the wheels in their heads spinning. Cooper had some great hits though.
He played right outfield again today. It took him a little while to get his head in the game, but he ended up making some pretty good plays.
Zoe spends most of her time watching the game from the trees with her friend Lexia...

By the 5th inning we only had a 1 point lead...yikes! But The Royals pulled it off in the end with a 13-10 victory!!! They are officially the American League Champs and get to play in the World Series Game!
