NYC, Day 16...

We really wanted to enjoy our last couple days in the city. Zoe hasn't had the chance to see Brooklyn yet, so we headed there for most of the day. Brooklyn Bridge Park offers so many fun activities and is just a beautiful place to hang out.

They do free kayaking on Saturdays so we made that our first stop. It was a long wait, but it was so fun once we were in the water!

We had to stay in the bay area, just to the opening of the East River. We couldn't venture too far out or we'd be in the pathway of the big ferries and boats. It was fun to see the Statue of Liberty in the background though.

and the views of the Manhattan skyline and Brooklyn Bridge...

They've built up this pier to be a fun activity center, with basketball and raquetball courts...
 a skating rink...
 and a soccer field...
We found a fantastic pizza place, an off-shoot of the legendary Grimaldi's. It was the best pizza we've had yet!

We picked up some dessert at the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, and walked through Dumbo.

I just love this spot...
 Such a cute little town...
and we even found a Zoe store...
We walked back over the Brooklyn Bridge, since Zoe didn't get a chance to do it last time...

This time around, there were several NYPD counter terrorism officers throughout the bridge due to the earlier security breach this week!

Once back in Manhattan, we decided to walk back to our apartment. We passed by the dance studio one last time...
and the deli that Zoe went to sometimes for lunch with her friends...
We did a little shopping in Soho before heading home to rest our legs a bit. Then we hit the streets again to walk around our neighborhood some more. The clouds were getting dark!
Zoe found the best coconut boba smoothie...
and I found another adorable bakery...
The rain started to come down as we made our way back. It sure was a fun day! Our legs our sore, but we had a great time!
