5th Grade Pool Party

The end of the year is officially winding down. Today marked the first of the next 6 days of fun for the graduating 5th graders. They got to take a field trip to the local rec center for a great day of swimming, food and games. I took the day off of work so I could be there with the kids. I'm trying to take advantage of my last few school events with Zoe in elementary school!
Zoe and Lacey are also trying to spend as much time as possible together, since Lacey will be going to a different middle school next year. I am so sad that they won't be together, but hope they will stay B.F.F.'s!
The kids spent the first hour and a half in the pool, swimming and going down the slide...
Then it was time to get out and enjoy some pizza, salad, and breadsticks.
After stuffing their bellies, they got to go through some fun game stations, as well as eat some delicious cake.
They played "sponge" Duck-Duck-Goose, tag, water relays, and limbo. They even had a fun photo booth set up. The kids had a ton of fun!

After food and games they got to go back into the pool for another 2 hours of swimming. Zoe loved jumping off of the diving board.
Time to lay out and dry off...

They got to change their clothes and have a snack before getting back on the bus to school. They were all exhausted, but very happy with their fun day!
