Today was Joe's birthday and we tried to make it a special one.
We made him banana pancakes and eggs served on his "Special Plate." He's usually gone very early to work in the mornings, so it was a treat to have him home on a school morning!
He opened his gifts before everyone headed off for the day. He got to spend the day doing one of his favorite things...being Watch D.O.G. at the elementary school. It happened to be the day when the 5th graders took a field trip to the middle school for an orientation, so he was happy to tag along.
When Zoe got home from school, she made about 20 birthday signs and hung them all over the house! It put a huge smile on his face when he walked in the door.
Before we had to get to dance, we had an early dinner out and enjoyed a delicious meal!
We finished the night with a Nutella Gooey Dark Chocolate Butter Cake with whipped cream. Yumm...it was delicious!
Happy Birthday Joe! We are so thankful for you every day!
