TYB Pinto Coach Pitch Division Champions!!!!

What a weekend it has been!! Zoe and Cooper both had major events happening, so we spent a lot of time shuttling back and forth, and trading off who went where. Cooper started his All-Star tournament on Saturday morning. He was excited and nervous. This team has spent so many hours practicing and playing scrimmages, and the boys really wanted to do well. I could tell Coop was nervous since he barely touched his breakfast, and he is usually my big eater in the morning.

We got to the field and Cooper took his first look...

They warmed up to get ready for the game. The heat was already approaching 100 degrees, so it was going to be a hot one!

Cooper has really come to like playing catcher. It has become his main position on the team, and he's getting pretty good at it.
Unfortunately, he wasn't put in until the 4th inning this game, and we ended up winning by mercy rule, 13-0, so he didn't get to play much. Mimi, Gramps, and Jax had come down to watch, and were bummed they didn't get to see more, since they were heading to Zoe's dance show when the next game would be played. This team was happy with their big win though!

So Joe stuck around for the next game (and of course, didn't get any pictures!). Cooper started the game as catcher and got 2 great hits at bat. They pulled off another win of 7-4!

We were back on the field today for the championship game, since we didn't have to go into the loser bracket. Again, there was excitement and nervousness in the air, but our boys were ready!
Coop had another great game as catcher...

and he got 2 more great hits...

After 6 innings, Temecula pulled out a big win of 11-3! They congratulated the Murrieta team for a good game. (Its tough to play a team wearing the same colors!)

Coop got his first look at their division championship banner...

Coach Kurt gave these boys lots of praise for playing so well today. They came here to win and they did it!

The boys each got a championship medal and 1st place pin.

I am so proud of my favorite guy!!!

These boys have become such good buddies, its nice to see the big smiles on their faces!
After the game, we went out for pizza to celebrate. The boys were happy as could be. They sat down to eat, and immediately started cheering at the Yankee/Mets game on TV. Just can't get enough baseball!

So, 2 more weeks of baseball, and we head to the Regional tournament in Riverside beginning on the 16th!! Congratulations Temecula Pinto Boys!!
