Our summer is quickly coming to an end, and none of us are very happy about it! We've been staying busy, but also trying to have some relaxing hours since our schedule is about to go back to it's craziness.
We had Jax with us for a few days and had a fun campout in the backyard...
followed by yummy donuts in the morning...
and a fun silly string fight in the afternoon...
We did some new school clothes shopping at the mall...
and picked up Zoe's schedule, took yearbook photos, and got books for her upcoming year!
We tried to stay cool in the ridiculous heat! Every year at this time I question why we chose to live here! Even Zippy couldn't stay out of the pool!
One afternoon while Coop and I were swimming, we heard thunder in the distance and found a storm to be moving in quickly.
We got out and spent the next hour sitting on the patio watching an incredible lightning show, and feeling the rain fall. I love summer storms, so it was great to watch, and nice to feel the temperature drop (at least for an hour!)
Zoe got to spend a very long day working at a reptile show with Lacey. Her dad owns a gecko company so the girls helped him work the booth at the convention.
They worked a long day, getting animals out of cages, cleaning, selling, writing receipts, and getting some time to hold a few fun geckos, lizards, chameleons, and snakes!
Only a few more days of summer left!
