Magic Kingdom!

Our first official day at Disney World! We woke up early and hit the road to drive to the parks.

We chose to go to the Magic Kingdom park on our first day. Since this is the most like Disneyland the kids wanted to head there. To get there from the parking lot, you either take a ferry or the monorail in. The view coming in was awesome.
The weather had changed drastically this morning, and the cool air was coming in.

The giant Christmas tree on Main Street was still up!

The crowds were light in the morning, so we jetted around as quickly as we could to get into as many rides as possible. We had fun comparing the rides there with the ones at Disneyland. Some were better, some were worse, but we loved the park.

We broke for a quick corn dog lunch...
I had brought ponchos with us, mostly for the rapids ride at Animal Kingdom, but we decided to put them on for Splash Mountain since it was pretty cold out.

The kids loved exploring Tom Sawyer's Island here. Some of the caves were really cool, and the landscaping was beautiful.

As the crowds picked up we spent some time watching some shows.
I loved the Hall of Presidents show, and the kids loved learning about some of the past presidents, and looking at some of the memorabilia in the lobby.

Once the evening rolled around we lined up on Main Street to enjoy the Electric Parade and the stunning fireworks show. The castle was brilliantly lit up with lights.

It was a long 13 hour day at the park, but a ton of fun!
