Epcot!

We were excited to get to Epcot today and happy it was at least a little warmer today!
We went straight to Spaceship Earth which is the slow ride inside the giant "ball" that greets you at Epcot. It shows scenes from the beginning of recorded time to the 21st century cyber age. The kids loved the part where they take your picture and you get to decide a future world for yourself.
They enjoyed exploring Future World, and even got to make their own video game. It records your body movements and then imports them into a computer game.

They got to play the game and have it emailed home to play again later.

We saw a few more shows and characters too.

We left Future World, and headed to the World Showcase. This was my favorite part! I loved exploring each of the countries.

Our first country was "Paris." I was determined to get to the Boulangerie bakery for some French pastries! We filled up on chocolate croissants, chocolate eclairs, vegetable quiche, and a fresh loaf of French bread.

Each of the countries also had a Kidcot stop. They had representatives from each country there to talk to the kids. They stamped their books with each passport stamp. Some also drew maps of their country, others wrote the kids names in their native writing, or something unique about their country. What a neat keepsake for the kids and so fun to meet people from all over the world!

Next up was Morocco...

Then on to Japan...
We saw this candy artist create the most beautiful works of art from Japanese candy...

Then it was on to America, where we stayed to watch a neat history of America show told by "Mark Twain" and "Thomas Jefferson".

Our last country of the day was the United Kingdom...

We finished the night with the Illuminations show. This was a fantastic show of fireworks, music, and lasers. I think this was my favorite nighttime show of the week!
Since there is so much to see at this park, we decided we would come back later in the week for more Epcot fun.
