ALL-STARS!!

What a week it has been since school has gotten out! We have had a ton of fun already...lots of swimming, barbecues, and sleepovers. However, in between all of that, it has been baseball, baseball, and more baseball!! Coop found out last week that he had made an All-Star team and he was very excited to get started. He was able to play with a couple of his A's teammates and reunite with several of his old Cardinals gang that had played on the Orioles this season. It was so much fun having all the boys together again, with our favorite coaches and families. They were only able to squeeze in a couple of practices before the tournament began. The first game was Wednesday night (which we won), we lost Thursday, won Friday, won Saturday morning, and ended up losing Saturday afternoon with an overall finish of 3rd place. The boys had a blast playing together and did a great job!

The boys were warmed up and getting a few instructions from Coach Kurt...

Coop mostly played in the pitcher position and center field. He did a great job and made several key outs throughout the tournament...

His batting really improved this week and he had a some awesome hits!

In between games, the boys gathered around, munched on some shaved ice and watched the other games going on at the park. They all get along so well, and really enjoy spending time together.

The coaches and dads like to hang out too!

After their last game, the boys each got their All-Star t-shirts. They were a happy bunch of boys, and we were so proud of each and every one of them!

Cooper and Gavin are great buddies!

Cooper really looks up to Coach Keith and was so glad to be a part of his team again...

He also learns a lot from Coach Kurt and loved being with him again too...

I am so proud of my guy!!


The kids wanted to do one last run around the bases, so off they ran!

Afterward, we had a celebration BBQ and swim with several of our team families. It was a great way to officially end the season.

The boys always come up with some kind of ball game to play...in or out of the pool!

Zoe was happy to be back on a team with Maddy...these girls have so much fun together!

So, baseball is officially done for us this season! I'm sure we will get together with everyone and play some fun games and and impromptu practices this summer. It sure was an awesome season, and Cooper had a great time. So many hours spent practicing, playing, and watching. We are so proud of your consistent effort and determination to give it your all!!
