Ruby's Diner heads off for Spring Break!

It is already time for the Spring Chorus Show! Mrs. McBride decided to do a continuation of the Winter show, so Zoe once again played the part of Cindy Lou. Cooper decided to give chorus a try this time around too! Since he is a 3rd grader, he participated in the general chorus group, but we got to do a fun Mom/Son dance too. The songs this time around were a mix of a few old, and mostly modern pop songs. These kids have been working so hard and putting in many hours rehearsing. It was nice to finally see the end result!
The first show was on Wednesday morning, and Mimi was happy to come down to watch!
The show took place in "Ruby's Diner"
Zoe loved dancing and singing on her "box"!

Cooper had fun being part of the chorus group, and he loved hanging out with his buddy Westin.

Zoe sang a solo medley to "Sugar, Sugar," "Candy Man," and "Lollipop," this time around.

She has so much fun being up on that stage...
Coop and I did the mother/son dance. I couldn't believe he wanted to do it! Only my love for him would get me up on that stage!
For the evening show, Joe did a father/daughter dance with Zoe. I didn't get a chance to get any pictures since I was backstage waiting to come on. I am so bummed!
The show ended with all of the 5th grade chorus members coming on stage to sing and dance to "Firework". It was neat to see them all together, and a little sad too.

Zoe and Dana had lots of fun together...they both LOVE to sing and dance!

Coach Keith and the boys even came to cheer on Zoe and Cooper for the nighttime performance...what great friends they are!

Saying goodbye to Mrs. McBride is really difficult for Zoe. She loves performing for her, and Mrs. McBride's passion for music and kids is incredible. We have been so blessed to have been with her for the past 3 years. Hopefully Cooper will decide to continue with chorus, so we can enjoy a little more time with her.
Overall, it was a fantastic show! We went out with the Schneiders for some ice cream to celebrate afterward and enjoyed lots of laughs. Now it's off for Spring Break!
