Another carnival done!

It was time for our annual school carnival! We weren't sure whether we would be able to have it today or not due to weather concerns. We were checking the weather report hourly all week, and had to make the call on Wednesday, and decided to do it, rain or shine! This morning we awoke to light showers, but then the sun started peeking out. Set up turned into chaos when the rain and wind really picked up. After quickly moving everything under cover, the rain stopped and gave us a break for most of the day!
Mimi and Gramps brought Jax down to enjoy the fun with Zoe and Cooper. Zoe started off climbing up the rock wall.
Then she headed over to get her hair sprayed in many colors. The high school helpers were fantastic!
She met up with Lacey, who had just won a goldfish!
After playing some games, the boys decided to get their hair painted too.
and even though it was freezing outside, nothing stopped them from getting some sno cones,
and playing some tetherball,
and swinging,

I worked selling tickets,
and supervising the raffle baskets in the multi-purpose room,
The boys filled out their name and number on their raffle tickets before putting them into the baskets that they hoped to win,

We took a quick break from the carnival, and took Gramps to Ritchie's Diner for lunch to celebrate his upcoming birthday! I can't believe we didn't get a picture with him in it!

We raced back to the carnival in time for more games and the raffle drawing.

After all of that, the only thing that was won was a bottle of Mountain Dew by Jax!

Overall, the carnival turned out to be a big success. I only wish it had been a little warmer, and a little less windy. There was a huge turn out though, this community constantly amazes me. I am officially exhausted!
