EXTRA! EXTRA!

A group of us got together to head to the People's Choice Awards again this year, but we arrived in L.A. early so we decided to head to The Grove for some lunch beforehand. While looking for a place to eat, we discovered that they were just beginning a taping of the tv show Extra with Mario Lopez. He was going to be taping a segment with Gayle King, so we decided to jump on in. One of the producers approached us and asked us to come to the front and two of the ladies I was with got to ask Gayle some questions. It was really fun and exciting to be that close!
Mario and Gayle were very friendly in person. It is strange to watch the "behind the scenes" stuff though...and they were both wearing a TON of makeup!
We were told to just smile and look at Mario and Gayle. I didn't realize that the segment was going to last 35 minutes...my face got really tired of smiling! We had a ton of fun though, and even ended with a "dance party" with Gayle to the song Firework. The show aired the next day, and it was really neat to see us on tv! I was surprised how much I actually got in.


The taping ended up making us a little late to the awards show! Jenny and Jenn raced over to Chipotle to pick up some burritos for us to eat the car and Joy raced us over to the Nokia Theater. We made it just in time!
