It was a pretty quiet evening in our household, but it was nice to be warm and snuggly in our jammies all evening to celebrate the new year! The kids wanted to stay up until midnight, but just in case that didn't happen we celebrated at 9 with the New York ball drop.
We had fun playing our new game, Apples to Apples!
Joe was beat after a long week of work, and working on the house, so he was out before 10pm. (Boots was happy to snooze too)
The kids and I spent the next couple hours trying to stay awake! We played more games, watched some of the performers on tv celebrating all around the country, played with our new apps, and ate some ice cream. We had moved upstairs before midnight and it was getting harder and harder to stay awake, but we did it!!
At 11:50, Zoe woke up Daddy so we could all celebrate together. The kids were excited to shoot off all their confetti poppers. It was so cold outside that we decided to do it inside...
