Cooper started basketball a few weeks ago, just as baseball was winding down. He really likes Coach Kyle, and loves having Coach Keith as the assistant. Unfortunately, the team hasn't had a whole lot of practice time between the rain, the Thanksgiving holiday, and some kids getting sick, so it was a little nerve wracking heading into their first game tonight. Coop moved up a division this season and the level of play is definitely more intense. He is now one of the smallest and youngest on the team, but he is holding his own. He is #2 on the Jazz...
They start the game with some free throw shots and Cooper made his shot. Then it was time to line up and get the rules from the refs.
Then they got their instructions from the coach...
The game is played with 4, 8-minute quarters, with time-outs for fouls and subs. Cooper was excited and ready to go.

Cooper played awesome defense and got a couple good shot attempts in too...

Sitting on the bench with Coach Keith...these two are good buddies!
The Jazz lost to the Lakers, and it was a big disappointment for our boys. They have a lot to work on, but hopefully with some more practices under their belt they will continue to grow and learn to work together. The coaches gave the kids a good pep talk after the game...
It was a stressful, but exciting game to watch and we are happy that the season is here!
