More fishing fun!

After going back to Temecula for a night to see Joe, and hang with his friend Miles, Cooper was back in Newport and has been fishing like crazy. They booked a 3/4 day ocean fishing trip out of Dana Point for Thursday. I was a little nervous about it, since they'd be gone for so many hours on the boat, but they were really looking forward to it. The night before, they got all their gear ready to go.

Coop, Jax, and Marlon had to wake up at 4:30am, and Gramps had them at the marina early. They were tired, but excited.

 Mimi loaded them with money for food and tips, and Gramps made sure they were safe and ready to go.

 It turned out to be a successful day!

 Coop ended up catching 2 legal sized calico bass, and about 10 non-legal ones. He also caught a barracuda.

 They paid the guys to filet the fish and bag them up to take home.

 Mimi was waiting at the dock when they returned.

 Happy kids and an awesome day!

They went back to Uncle Jeff & Cathy's house to cook up their catch and had a delicious fish taco dinner. Cooper even helped cook it, and surprisingly, loved the tacos!
