Our summer adventure has begun! We said a hard goodbye at LAX this morning. It will be a long 2 weeks until we see Cooper, and an even longer 5 weeks without Joe!
Our flight was long, but smooth. We saw some beautiful skies, and even some lightning...
We arrived at Miami International Airport, and quickly caught a taxi to our rental apartment. It sure is hot and humid here!
Home away from home for the next 5 weeks! The apartment is great, and even has a huge photograph of the Flatiron building and NYC in the entrance. What a perfect welcome for us since we are definitely missing the city this year!
We were starving, so we walked a few blocks to find some dinner.
We didn't know much of what was around, but we quickly found this delicious pizza place. It seems to be our first day tradition when we travel.
We walked another block to the gorgeous beach!
South Beach is known for the fun and various lifeguard stands...
It felt so good to put our feet in the ocean...even if the water is 87 degrees!
We headed back to the apartment to unpack. Zoe was in the best mood and we had a lot of fun getting settled in.
Time to get to bed and get ready for Zoe's first day!
