We had breakfast at the hotel and headed straight to the beach this morning. On our way we passed this pond full of wildlife, including tons of adorable turtles.
What a beautiful beach! We got there early and had the place almost to ourselves. It was still a bit cold, but we couldn't wait to get into the warm water!
We spent a couple of hours playing in the ocean and had a blast. They waves were crazy, breaking at the shore, or way out. Coop spent tons of time getting shots and video with the GoPro.
I LOVE this water!
The sun was out, so it was warming up a bit, but still pretty cold, so we had to try to warm up outside of the water.
All along the beach, vendors were selling jewelry, t-shirts, beach wraps, conch shells, and drinks out of coconuts. It was entertaining for sure. The kids did decide they each wanted to bring a shell home. It sure turned out to be a stunning day!
I could've taken a million photographs of the sand, ocean, sky, clouds!
We decided to walk along the beach back towards the Atlantis. Along the way there was a sand cliff, so we stopped for a while for some fun jumping contests...
These two are sure having fun together!
We decided to hit the lagoon for some snorkeling. We brought our snorkel gear from home, but when you snorkel at the resort, they require a life jacket if you're going outside of the buoys.
We had so much fun and saw some awesome fish.
I stole the camera from Coop so I could get a shot of him...
Cooper was ready for a strawberry drink!
After quick showers, we walked by the marina and village for a bit.
We picked up a quick dinner at Dunkin Donuts (who knew they had dinner!)
We enjoyed a quiet night in our room after a long, fun day. The kids got a little homework done too. It seems harder to get it done here!
