Spotlight in L.A.

In October, Zoe did a video audition for the first round of the Spotlight Awards competition. She successfully made it to the next round in both non-classical dance and classical ballet! We headed up to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in L.A. this morning for her panel audition for the non-classical.

 The auditions were closed, so I couldn't watch or take a picture. I waited in one of the conference rooms and saw a gathering of Santa's getting ready to hit the streets of Los Angeles...it was quite a sight!

 Zoe got great feedback from the judges and it was a really positive experience. She won't get any results until February, but she is so glad she's participating. Afterwards, we were invited to attend the dress rehearsal for the L.A. Dance Project's upcoming show.

 We watched the warm ups first. These dancers were incredible. They did a pas de deux, and then a really cool contemporary piece.

 Such a fun day, and a wonderful experience for my girl!!
