The sixth graders have been busy working on the Ancient Egypt reports for Social Science. Cooper's project was on the Pharaoh Akhenaten. He spent several weeks researching, making note cards, a bibliography, and artifacts.
Today was the day of presentations in class. There are very few opportunities to go to the middle school, so I took a long lunch from work and headed over. Each student had to give a 3-5 minute memorized speech about their assignment. Cooper did a great job, and I was impressed that he didn't need to use his cards for reference! It was fun to walk around and see what everyone made and listen to their speeches.
I'm glad we can check this off our list!
