We wanted to plan a day to do something fun for our birthdays, so Jenny, Leslie and I decided to head down to La Jolla.
It was a gorgeous day!! We had a delicious breakfast at The Cottage. The food was fantastic, and we shared banana oatmeal pancakes, french toast, and an egg scramble with delicious guacamole.
We walked along the coastline and watched people kayaking, swimming, and snorkeling. We also saw tons of sea lions and birds.
We then headed down to Pacific Beach to the Baked Bear for some yummy cookie ice cream sandwiches. I've heard great things about this place, so I was anxious to try it!
The dessert was great, but the view was even better!
We enjoyed our time sitting on a bench watching the waves and feeling the ocean breeze.
Wish we could've spent a longer day exploring, but I am so thankful to have spent a day away from town with great friends!
