Time to hit the slopes!

We've been waiting for the snow, and a free day to head to the slopes. The heavy snow came last week, and we decided to take advantage of the time off of school and go up to Snow Summit for the day. I was worried about the freezing temperatures we've been having, and the crowds, but it turned out to be a gorgeous day!

The boys headed up together, along with a few other friends that Jax was with, and Zoe and I hopped on after them.
It was absolutely gorgeous at the top of the mountain!
We did a few runs to try to get into the groove. It had been a while, so we had to get our footing back. There was also some miscommunication with the boys, and Coop ended up heading up and down the mountain once by himself. Thankfully he is smart enough to read the signs, and didn't end up on a black diamond run!

We spent the day mostly on the beginner/intermediate slopes, trying to practice our skills. I still don't find it easy, but it is definitely fun and I love being on the mountain. Jax has gotten so good that he likes to take off to the more advanced slopes. My kids stuck with me!
By 3:30 the wind picked up, and it got freezing. We had put in plenty of hours, and it was time to go home. Although we ended up sitting in a ton of traffic, we watched a beautiful sunset while heading down the mountain.
