Happy 4th of July!

Our annual Independence Day celebration took place in Newport Beach today. Unfortunately, Joe wasn't feeling well, so he decided to stay home and try to get some rest. So the kids and I left early to avoid traffic and got to Grandma & Grandpa's house in time to enjoy a great day at the beach. The sun was out and the water was beautiful! The water temperature was FREEZING though, so the kids could only last about 10 minutes or so, even with their wetsuits on. Everyone had lots of fun playing in the sand, playing football, building sandcastles, boogie boarding, skim boarding, and just laying out in the sun.
After a great day at the beach, we came back and are getting ready for a delicious 4th of July BBQ dinner! Lots of food and family, what could be better? We are so fortunate and blessed to live in this wonderful country!
