Let Winter Break Begin!

Today was the last day of school before winter break, and the kids had a ton of fun. This is one of their favorite days of the year, especially because they are able to wear their warm Christmas jammies and slippers!

The school morning started off with Cooper's 2nd grade performance. They put on a 'Twas the Night Before Christmas show. Mrs. Grabau (Cooper's science teacher) played Mrs. Claus and read the story aloud, while the students sang 8 different holiday songs in between. Cooper happily sang along, but definitely isn't as extroverted as his sister.

After the show, the parents presented Mrs. Falciano with her class gift...2 trees that were filled with all kinds of different gift cards, as well as an assortment of expo markers as ornaments. She loved it and we are so lucky to have such a wonderful teacher!

Next it was off to Zoe's room. Her class was doing a big waffle breakfast this morning. All of the desks were set up with placemats and papergoods. The kids got to enjoy their breakfast buffet while watching the movie "Elf". They are so spoiled! Unfortunately, Mrs. Atkinson wasn't able to be at school today, and the kids really missed her.

After filling their bellies, it was time for the 4th graders to sing their hearts out. Zoe loves any chance to perform, so she was a happy girl!

(Gotta love that smile!)

So now it begins...a nice, (hopefully) relaxing 2 weeks. No set schedule, lazy pajama mornings, Christmas movies, lots of yummy cookies, and possibly another day or two in the snow. I love this time of year!
